What We Deliver

Our Current Projects

We exist to improve the lives of everyone impacted by cancer in our community, as well as helping others understand and recognise the signs and symptoms of cancer, and to seek appropriate support sooner rather than later.

We want to help the community throughout Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid-Wales, live life well – before, during and after cancer.

We Hope You Can Help

Whilst we will continue to keep fundraising through our cancer appeals for equipment to support cancer treatment, we are also working to help prevent cancer, encourage patients to seek treatment earlier, and support people to live their lives well – during and after treatment.

What we have recently funded...

Cooling Caps – helping to prevent hair loss caused by Chemotherapy Treatment.

Radar Keys –allowing patients access to disabled toilet facilities while out and about, reducing stress and worry about leaving the home. We have purchased 1000 keys which are being widely distributed around the county.

TVs – We have purchased eight new televisions for patients in isolation rooms on the Oncology Ward at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

These are just a few examples of the projects that we are able to fund through the charity.

LiveLife Cancer Awareness Service

The LiveLife Cancer Awareness Service has been launched to deliver a meaningful impact on the wider community, helping people have a greater understanding about cancer, how we can live healthier lives to try and prevent it, and where to turn for assistance if there are any concerns.

Cancer Champions

We are working in partnership with NHS Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin ICB, and Qube – an Oswestry-based, community resource charity, to raise awareness about cancer in the wider community with a particular focus in groups where English is not their first language. We want to work with community volunteers to support and train them to become cancer champions, helping them encourage their peers to be more cancer aware and accept cancer screening invites.
